ISPRM project with Rotary club of Kigali Virunga and Hobara Rotary club

On Friday, 1st October 2021, In Gicumbi District Miyove Sector, Nyamiyaga village where reside 27 Families of historical marginalized community composed by 122 members. NPO TER coordinated a Launching ceremony of project with the theme of Independence Support for Poorest Resident for HMPs in partnership with Rotary club Virunga of Kigali and Hobara Rotary club with the great support of Rotary International.


This project will last for 3 years in educating and empowering the community with the best practical way of agriculture to improve on quantity and quality of the yield at the end of the season, as the project illustrate the phases, the first will be a demonstration face whereby all members will be trained on how to produce more crops on the small land through the acquired technics from Experts. The project will provide domestic materials such as saucepans, plates, beds and building up stoves, the project will build a Rainwater harvesting system for supporting the Launched project, this will contribute on the improvement on insufficient hygiene which use to be a critical issue in this community. 


In the remarks, the president of Rotary Club of Kigali Virunga, Suman Alla; was happy for the project and thanked Japan embassy side for their partnership with Rwanda to raise the living standard of vulnerable populations; he welcomed the Ambassador Imai in Rotary club of Kigali Virunga and gave him the sign of Rotary and the message of appreciation.

He also thanked Madam President of NPO TER Mrs. Towari Marie Louise for her great contribution in the lives of MIYOVE historical marginalized peoples and he gave the message of appreciation to deliver to member of Hobara Rotary Club named IWABUCHI San.

The mayor of Gicumbi district NDAYAMBAJE Felix; thanked all the partners NPO TER and Rotary Club of Kigali Virunga for the project that is coming to help Miyove community as a HMPs community. In addition, he encourages the community to be part of the project for its sustainability, he lastly thanked the Embassy of Japan in Rwanda for tremendous support in Rwandan development, and particularly he thanked ambassador IMAI who came for the project launch.

The guest of Honor, ambassador MASAHIRO IMAI of Japan in Rwanda in his speech started thanking very much the local leaders, Rotarians and NPO TER who played a great role in favor of beneficiaries, he said a good relationship of both countries has always been fruitful and the Japan government will continue to support development project through its GGP scheme in benefit people of Rwanda.
